Calgary Stampede
Calgary’s no slouch when it comes to exciting events, either, as the host of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth: the Calgary Stampede. Canada’s biggest rodeo festival offers up thrills and laughs by the ton every year. Your family can watch calf roping, bull-riding competitions and chuck-wagon races. If they’re looking for more culture than cattle, take them down to the Mountain Film Festival in the Banff Centre for international screenings of new and innovative films.
