Description

Welcome to Green Wilderness Lodge on beautiful Lake Mattagami. The remote setting is the ideal place for that special fishing or hunting experience, or a relaxing family vacation. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you travel 40 miles of open waterways, which abound with Northern Pike, Walleye, Whitefish, Perch and Smallmouth Bass. Lake Mattagami has perfect structure for a high Walleye population with many rocky points, drop-offs, islands and shoals. Plentiful nature trails offer the opportunity to explore the diverse landscape and snap the perfect photograph of grouse, snowshoe rabbit, lynx, black bear, ducks, geese or moose. A daily fly-in fishing trip or a short sight-seeing tour by air may be arranged with prior notice.

Cottages - Relax in our comfortable and clean housekeeping cottages. All cottages overlook the lake and are fully equipped including a 3-piece bath. . There is also a lounge in the main lodge where you can play cards, pool or just relax and meet some of the other guests. Outpost Cabin - For guests who want a truly isolated wilderness trip and privacy, we built an outpost cabin 3/4 miles down the lake in 2002. The cabin sleeps 12 people and is equipped with most of the amenities of our base-camp cottages. (minimum 4 people)

Green Wilderness Lodge is an ATV adventure paradise. The local terrain changes into many different environments. We have ATV trails, animal paths, old abandoned roads, clear-cut areas, swamps, ponds, rivers and rocky areas. All these conditions make for an awesome ATV trip.

The Gogama Wilderness Region, which is south of Timmins, is famous for Black Bear and Moose hunting. There are lots of small lakes, ponds, swamps and clear-cut areas, which is the terrain that Moose love the best. This area is WMU 29.
