Manitoba Adventures on Land

Hunting
If hunting’s your game, you’ll find Manitoba is open to both archery and rifle hunting for deer, moose and bear. If you’d rather watch than pursue your game, the avid birder has plenty to entice the eye in the region. Try to catch a glimpse of the whiteface ibis in Whitewater Lake, the trumpeter swan in Oak Hammock Marsh, or the endangered piping plover in Delta Heritage Marsh. Even if the creatures of Manitoba elude you, just cast a glance at the wilderness surrounding you and feel lost in true unspoiled beauty.
Get a little power under you with ATV adventures, heading out onto rough terrain with a sturdy engine powering your way through the forest. If you’d rather depend on a steed than a speedster, saddle up for your next adventure instead. Manitoba is full of ranches and ranchers happy to show you the ways of trekking through the wilds on a good horse, and you can even try your hand at ranching yourself, if you’re of a mind to see what the cowboy life is like.
